Finally getting around to replacing the crumbling vacuum lines on my 98 S70.
I'm about to tackle the evap system, and I distinctively recall reading a "hack" for replacing the J and L hoses for dirt cheap. It involved using a certain length of silicone vacuum line with a stainless steel spring. You get a spring that just fits the inside diameter of the hose so you can bend it 90 degrees without kinking. Then you can have a silicone J and L hose for only a few bucks. The only problem is, I completely forgot what the inside diameter was and I cannot seem to find the post. Does anyone know what the ID are for the J an L hoses? Wish I could remember who the poster was and where I saw this, but I'm drawing a blank.

I don think they survived the Great Garage Purge of last week where I dumped parts
Check my evap thread - maybe I measured them there?
On edit - I did not, sorry.
Best I can offer is an estimate of 3/4 inch ID
6 feet of 3/4 silicone hose will run you about $30 - not much cheaper than the Volvo parts from FCP - warranteed for life??
You can get the URO ones and do the job every year, too! (see Amazon reviews)
I do have three non-working V70 trunk latches though?
