Not a bad route to take, agreed. But then if Volvo switches back to something quality in a couple years, you get a better replacement part when these go. Pros and cons.

Consider this: Very recently the Volvo spring seats have been suspect. For a very long time before that they were much better than any aftermarket. Continuing backwards, about 6(+?) years or so ago the Volvo spring seats had a run of bad quality - Volvo fixed that by upgrading the P80 cars to the XC90 part. At least with the Volvo part there is some history of quality control, I might go with that and buy those from FCP. If the Rein parts a re crap, they will be falling apart much more quickly on the XC90s, and there are a lot of those out there, in which case I speculate Volvo would make a change. All speculation!

Unless of course you really only want to keep it running for two years anyway ...
