First thing I did when we bought our first house with a garage was set up the pegboard wall of tools.
Everything where I can see it.

You should add some outlines like they used on Alcatraz so you can tell when an inmate has run off with one of your tools:

My dad was a wood guy, not an engine guy. He had the pegboards on the walls, with black marker outlines of the tool that hangs there. Easy to keep track of things! Mine are all in drawers so they can roll to the car. I always think of him when going to look for the right tool.

I like that idea!

I also prefer to have a cart though. I have the Harbor Freight blue tool cart and I love it. Plenty of space and for a brand new cart, you can't possibly beat the price and value. I got it when it was $160, but it seems the price just keeps climbing now.

Don't think I'd gain anything with a rolling tool box. I always pull the car up to the workbench and pegboard. A rolling cart is nice if you have a lift.

I agree. I'd rather just have a larger bench style tool box, but I had a gift card and the deal on the cart was too good to pass up. I mainly keep my cart in one spot, I rarely move it. Usually because I just don't think about it, and I end up walking back and forth a hundred times anyway!

Just bought a wheeled Stanley from Walmart for $22.00. Makes a world of difference when raiding Pick-n-Pulls for parts.
