I went to check it out. The idea is great, I know there are other brands out there with a similar product but this one at walmart has a short handle for me (I'm 6ft tall). The upper box is huge but very thin plastic and the hinges won't hold when packed with tools, but it's not intended to be kept by hand anyway. Too bad the handle is too short for me because it's really interesting.

Someone have me a set of these, they might be called lobster claw flares, they work great.
Regular flares bought at the auto store opened up first try, tossed the whole set in the trash.
These only pull from one side and can't bend open.
I've never seen them for sale.
Made in mexico.

I don't need this often but when I do it is a Godsend.

It is not variable speed, it is corded and it is bulky but at 1050ft-lb (1423Nm) of torque, removing rusted Axle nuts is like spreading butter.

Craftsman Extreme Grip Wrenches.

Anybody that turns bolts should have a set of these. You move the lever and the box end clamps down on the nut or bolt head. Unlike conventional wrenches, these wrenches lock down on the center of the flats rather then at the corners like conventional wrenches. Allowing one to turn even a badly rounded head or nut. The time and hassle one is spared the first time one needs a Craftsman Extreme Grip Wrench, will pay for the set.

The open end let one reposition the wrench without removing the wrench from the bolt head or nut. Good for tight space work.
One set works on both Metric ans SAE.
Available at Sears or wherever Craftsman tools are sold.
