I just purchased a 1994 940 recently and I was hoping to figure out what the A6 error code 144 means and what I need to do to repair it or solve the problem. The car has no issues with ignition so far and I thought that error code was related to the ignition.
Thank you in advance!

Hi
thank you for the reply
Where are these possible sources of fault are located? (if there is a diagram or something that would be helpful)
Also, can I easily fix these issues and what do I need to do to check or fix the sources?
Thank you!

Any new insight on this issue? I’m chasing the same code down myself, however, with different symptoms. Once the car goes into close loop the idle is very high, like 1300 rpm. It always starts right up has never stalled out or died on me and the code seems to be intermittent. Any help is greatly appreciated
