This note covers the legal position of Volvo wiring diagrams and MVS

Under legal agreement with Volvo NA, MVS administrators have agreed not to post links or host content of copyrighted Volvo wiring diagrams

Under the same legal agreement , users who are not admins are free to do so, and many report googling “Volvo wiring diagrams” is fruitful

So you're saying if I were to post links to the '00-04 wiring diagram (also likely similar if not identical to the '99 cars), or to the 98 cars' wiring diagram, or to the 850 wiring diagram, that'd be okay?

I know, that's been the deal for a while now. I remember that being a challenge a couple years ago when Ozark Lee was the only one who was posting on a thread about my GLT during my transmission wiring diagnostics.

Hats off to Volvo for that approach, while other companies would refer to "legal up" this perspective on these matter seems very reasonable and volvo-fan-friendly..

I always thought that when prospective customers see fairly old Volvos still being talked about and still running, that might suggest that they would do well to buy a new one if they are in the market. Seems good for sales.

Are users allowed to upload images extracted from Volvo wiring diagrams? Does it matter if they're full page or parts of a page?

Does anyone have the complete "List of components" from the 2000-2004 wiring diagram? I recently cleaned up that PDF (moved the even pages ~220-316 to where they belong at the end), but could only find the first page of the component list. I'd sure like to know the names of all these numbered parts. Thanks.
