Hey Everyone!
I've got a 94 Wagon and am about to start working on the stereo. I plan on going back to the original SC810 head, but amplifying it and fitting new speakers. While I am planning on a small subwoofer, I want to know if it's possible to get 6.5 inch speakers into the front and rear doors for better midbass, while keeping the stock grilles. I'm pretty sure that after I passed my first 850 on to my younger brother, he was able to get them in the front doors, but he doesn't remember. Any help is really appreciated!
Thanks!

On the rear doors you can use 5 1/4 but you need to use the old speakers to make the mounting work. I basically carved the old speaker out and then used its OEM frame to hold the new speaker. At one time I think Crutchfield had some adapter plates but I'm not sure they have them anymore. As I recall they were nearly as expensive as the speakers.
