have noticed oil comsumption to the rate of 1 quart per 1,000 miles. use 5-30w full synthetic, Houston Tx; anyone else have and issue like this? Mostly city driving, on the highway 2 or 3 times per month.
Thanks in advance

out if other owners have had same issue, large problem or not.

So it's not because of switching to synthetic - I assume the oil consumption started only recently.
The 2010 models (P3 as we call them) had a widespread PCV problem causing the engine to start taking oil at alarming rates with low miles. The PCV box is located at the top of the engine and easy to replace. This should be quickly addressed or it can damage the piston rings. The only reason I didn't mention it first is because I suspect by 2015 they had already used the improved PCV design, but who knows... maybe yours still came with the faulty designed PCV. Worth a check with the dealer, they should check the numbers and tell if your engine has the improved PCV box.

While there, Quaker State may not be the best oil out there, but that's another subject..

600 miles out of warranty, taking it in next week for evaluation; if it is rings or worse, going to ask for "Volvo goodwill" as I'm sure the problem began before warranty expiration.
thanks for your info,
