You could just get a new chip if you can find one. The key itself is still just a piece of steel.

I already mentioned you need a tow to dealer.
Now, if you can make a new key that works at home, you will be the first to do that and thousands of people here will admire you.
Best solution is to gather about $200 or more for the new key at dealer, not including towing cost.
This is why in this forum, we recommend a spare key as soon as you buy a used Volvo made after 1999.
