Looking towards the front of the car....at right corner of the center opening on the bumper(under licence plate position)....you have the slot for it.

Perhaps it is different in European cars. There are 2 sensors like that. 1 on the drives side that clips into a hole in the small lower plastic grille in the bumper to the left in the picture of where misha has his red arrow pointing to.
If it is on the passenger side there are a couple placed they can plug into. One is into a hole in the undertray perpendicular to the radiator and just forward of it. The end faces into the air flow into the radiator behind the main grille. Some sit slightly higher but into the casing around the radiator air flow.

It's not different in EU market cars Neil....it's just that 2 of them should have turbo cars...and one of them for n/a.
