It is adjusted electronically by the CEM, the PEM, with feedback from the FPS

If there was a a CEM issue I would expect some dash lights and warnings.. 2005 had the water ingress recall to upgrade the gasket at the firewall wire harness. But I would really just check everything before because at this point it is going to be big money at the main Volvo dealer, especially since he spent $2500 for no reason for an 'oil pan sensor'
Do you mind sharing the name of this Volvo dealership?
I've also found two discussions, one talks about high pressure caused by a wrongly connected fuel pump

Another one is saying that a faulty PEM does cause high fuel pressure - only way would be the dealer didn't actually replace the module

Several Volvo Repair Videos https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... s0FSVSOT_c
Dealership was Premier Volvo in Overland Par, Ks.
They did not replace the PEM recently, I purchased it from them and installed it myself as well as the fuel pump. I wasnt going to pay the dealership for this, YouTube videos were detailed enough to do myself.
