installing VIDA 2014d

I finally got around to trying to install VIDA 2014D (date - 2015) on my Win7P laptop. I moved the files off the CD to the desktop, and saw they were one patch and 7 tar files. Plus a how to install vid.. which was in Chinese, and I don't read that language at all. Could someone please direct me to an English language how to install instructions or video for my set up? Thanks in advance..

Forget that DVD. Get the 2014D_RePack and 2099 patch then follow the instructions on this page.

thanks- where can I find the 2014D_RePack and 2099 patch for Win7P? I checked but the links I found are for 10.

The link to the RePack is in the install instructions in the link above, it is a magnet link for a Bittorrent. You need a bittorrent client to download it. I suggest Qbittorrent, it is free does not have ads, the others are pumped full of racy ads.

The 2099 patch is on page one of the same thread.

2014D_Repack will work on Windows 7,8 and 10.

I just installed Vida to 2 different laptops from 2010-2012 era. One has 4GB ram Pentium and the other has Twin Core with only 2GB ram.

Make sure you use the latest patch file on the linked thread Rick provided as earlier patch files were allowing me to get to login/password but not allowing me into Vida.

Both went well enough as I formatted with an Old Win 7 version installer disc with IE8 inherent. Plenty of them available on Bit Torrents.

If you don't use the Chrome conversion (I looked for IE Tab extension last week and couldn't add it to the latest Chrome version), DO watch out for Windows Update which will try to download and install IE11 possibly rendering your Vida install useless.

So either way the latest WIN7 builds may not support the installation of Vida.

Precopster: what version of Chrome are you using?
I have Version 66.0.3359.181 (Official Build) (64-bit) and IE TAB is working.
If IE Tab is not working on the newer version, it would be prudent to archive a copy of version 66 and IE Tab.

With 2014D_Repack you can use IE11 under Windows 8 & 10.

For Windows 7 and , I suggest 2014D_Repack with IE11 installed and do my Chrome conversion.

IE11 was designed for Windows 8, that is the primary reason there are so many issues with VIDA and IE11 under windows 7. My Chrome conversion gets around the issues by using only the IE11 rendering engine and not the subsystems that cause the issues.

I think I have IE11and I have chrome, too. Sorry, I'm a Mac user and this windows stuff is foreign to me..

Hi Rick it works now, version is 69.0.3497.100 32 Bit

I was using a bad patch file and couldn't log in. All sorted on both IE and Chrome if I choose to use either.

Thanks. I got waylaid by H. Michael - I have a huge tree down in my yard. I'm going to get VIDA working this week end...
