Rear suspension arm interchange question

Post by the65dartguy1 »

Helping a friend with an 98 S70... in doing the rear shocks the lower mounting stud snapped off at the shock base. Its a welded part so its likely I will need to change the whole arm. My question is, will the arm from a C70 2004 work on this car? Volvo calls out two different part numbers 9169158 S70 & 8600259 C70, so there is obviously something different. But what?
There is a local guy with the part I need already pulled and ready to go but I don't want to buy unless its gonna work!
Thanks for any/all advice!

Just weld the stud or a new stud back on. Lots of folks in the Queen City who can do this
