car won't start after completed cylinder head and timing belt replacement

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

Stop and check your timing. Sounds like it is not timed correctly. This will cause a non-start.

Once you have confirmed timing is correct proceed by checking your alternator and starter cables (plus any grounds you may have played with).

Report back - but I think you messed up on the VVT timing set.

Check the fuel line to the fuel rail. The retainer plate on my 2.9 bent under pressure and started leaking.
