Dead radio s90

Dead radio s90

So my factory original radio died :(
Zero power & zero lights, except for flashing red alarm light. I checked the fuse, saw it was still good so I assumed this was g-d telling me I deserved a new radio :D

New radio arrived with installation kit. Soldered radio to harness, popped into factory connectors and... NOTHING. Zero power to unit.

Before I go tearing things up is there anything obvious or vehicle/Volvo specific thing I should worry about?
1998 s90 (c 187,000) w/ no other known electrical problems.

Did you check both fuses, #9 & #18?
Did you check the grounds?
Did you check the overload relay? (Passenger compartment fuse box, it is the one on the bottom).

It was a bad ground; repairs to follow tomorrow :-)
