I ran our BMW at the factory 15000 mile interval for its first 150k miles, but I definitely had some sludge in the crankcase system when I serviced that. I've gone to 7500 mile intervals since , as I want 250k from this car.

I was researching some cures for particulate in the oil and also PCV service on my 2002, V70, 2.4t.
When I came across one of those YouTube videos of some 'backyard' mechanic waxing about BG44K.
After doing some more investigation I found out that it wasn't just a product but a service.
My best guess is that it's just another guerrilla marketing scam.
