2007 S80 Base, 125K mi. Dealer Serviced from 30K

Put down a hold deposit on a 2007 S80 base 3.2 today. Serviced by same dealership from 30k miles, now at 125k. Drove like butter. Nary a pip or squeak. Tell me why I shouldn't pull the trigger.

Barents Blue Metallic, tan leather interior. Front seats a little roughish, but not irredeemable.

Any 2007 S80 horror stories out there?

Picked up yesterday. Now part of the fleet. Salesperson had a similar car that was a total loss and I negotiated the purchase of her left over Gislaved snow tires.

It’s most likely that I will buy a 3.2

Based on your posts I think you went from a wagon to a sedan

If you don’t mind me asking......why?

I’ve owned my 3.2 awd (Land Rover LR2) since new in 2008 and I am thinking of getting another 3.2 for my son

To keep cost down I will likely get a FWD instead of AWD

I did purchase a CARFAX for a S80 FWD 3.2 2007

The car is very nice cosmetically Silver and Black

The one downside is no parking sensors (I have them on my LR2 and I really lik them)

Also it was bought at auction by a dealer and I don’t think it has any recent service records

I like your approach of getting a vehicle that has good service records

Sedan is for wife. Also adding a 2006 V70R awd to the fleet. High miles, but same owner from 14 K miles and he has 10.5 years of dealer service records. That one is a private sale.

If I could only have one it would be wagon all day long for the versatility. In my area 3.2 wagons are rare in non XC livery and I can't stand the plastic body cladding on the XCs.

Paul -- Although far from scientific, I figure a complete service history is worth about $500 in the offering price for a car in a private sale.

Barents Blue Metallic, same color as my S60. Polished up mirror like I think it's one of the prettiest colors Volvo ever put on these, especially on a clear sunny day with the paint job reflecting the blue sky it just 'pops' so beautiful like nothing else I've ever seen. And it suits the body styling like a glove. You'll catch people digging their phones out and taking pictures of it as you drive around. I have at least 5 or 6 times. And you'll get used to hearing the words "Nice Volvo" from people.

I decided to buy a S80 2010 3.2 with 125,000 miles for my son.

Paint and interior are excellent

The Vacuum pump brake booster is leaking oil and the engine torque rod bushing is torn.

I’ve ordered the parts.

I did change 4 quarts of ATF this weekend, the fluid I removed was black but not burned.
