It's not my concern but...I can't understand that you want to remove a steering wheel with airbag because of MOMO sport steering wheel.
Why would you risk your safety?
Unless it's strictly a racing car for a track only, with roll cage and stuff.

If the light is on, just removing the bulb will still leave the whole system disabled. So if you don't want any airbags, then easiest is to pull the bulb but knowing you are losing all airbags. Your choice. Hopefully if you sell the car on you can give the new owner an honest heads up and choice to re-fit the original and have the working system again.

I agree with the others. Not sure why you would replace the wheel and disable airbags unless you were building a proper race car. But if you really must have a race wheel, either live with the light, tape over it, or pull the bulb.

Warning: anytime you mess with the SRS system you risk setting it off, proceed at your own risk.
Disassemble the OEM steering wheel and locate this component it is called the Contact unit and should be attached to the bottom of the OEM steering wheel.
There should be a Solid Black wire and a Solid Orange wire on the wiring harness side.
1. Measure the resistance of the Contact unit across the Black and Orange.
2. Place an equivalent resistance across the corresponding Black and Orange on the wiring harness that remains in the car.
If all goes well this should fool the SRS control module into thinking the SRS steering wheel sensor and air bag is still there.

Carefull....resistance measuring with a multimeter can lead to airbag deploy!
There is a statement about that, somewhere in Volvo SRS documents.
No measurements of any kind should be performed in SRS system.

A little harsh?
But if this is the case, Volvo makes the car for you and it is actually safe! V60/S60 Polstar. For 2015 0 to 60 4.5 seconds, and stopps from 70mph 149 feet due to specific breaking system not on R or any other factory Volvo even with "Polstar" factory tune. I really thought about ordering the V60 Polstar in 2015, but sadly all 80 V60's for the US market had already been sold... June
