Power window issue (rear-both) 01v70 non turbo.

Post by Headsup »

Hi folks, I've read as many posts on the v70 power windows I could find but nothing relating to my issue.
Both rear windows are stuck open about an inch. (It's cold and snowy where I live).
Neither the drivers master switch will put them up, nor the individual switches on the door.
There IS a clicking from under the dash when I try to activate the switch from the drivers seat.
Fuse is fine. Front ones both work as they should.
Could there be a child lock relay I should be looking for?
Thanks in advance. Second elusive issue to be posted shortly.

On your drivers buttons you have the rear windows lock switch. Maybe this switch has an issue and it's completely locking the windows. Try playing with it a little

Maybe also inspect the rear electronic module (REM) fuse, not sure if the windows are on this module

Hi, thanks for this; the REM fuse checks out ok as it's also for the cargo light.
Did some serious wiggling of the switch, while manipulating the window control buttons, no change- just the clicking (sounds like from under the dash)- same thing when working the rear window buttons. stumped!
