Anyone put a group 24 battery in our cars?

I know our cars take Group 47/48 H5/H6 sized batteries, but using a battery sizing chart I am seeing group 24F batteries for sale locally for quite a bit less and with more cranking power.

I think I have used the 24 before in my P80's but the test is to make sure the locking tab will install as I recall the battery is longer. It can't be wider as it won't fit in the channel in the battery tray otherwise. Also check the battery has the wider base with the part that slips into the channel for locking.

Thanks Neil I might give it a shot with a Walmart Everstart...90 day return policy if it doesn't fit. No big deal I'll just return it.
