So great to have this image & part #. Thank you. And yes -- definitely can document O-ring size and perhaps even the process to help the next guy!

Its a bit confusing but the diagram shows three hoses when you only have two

Thats because the upper hose has two versions for different models/transmissions. I think you take the lower one, Number 8 and then the Number 11 Oring.

Best thing is to pull the Orings off, take them to NAPA or Parts store, and match as close as you can.

When Robert wakes up in AZ he will probably point you to a couple more resources on this that show how to retain the clip - it could be that your clip just got loose, the hose worked its way out, and the leak would be fixed by just pushing it back in and retaining. You don't want to test this by dumping your transmission oil on the BQE on the way home, so replace the O-rings and then get the hose in and retained.

give me a text if stuck, PM sent

Dont forget to pick up some ATF and set the fluid level right per the owner manual - if you don't have it you can find it online here

Someone played with your cooler line.

Your cooler clip currently sits in the wrong place, it is partially detached.

I don't like zip tie, I use a standard clamp, see this photo:
1. Note the EXACT position of the clip (Note the wider flange goes toward the radiator in your photo, the clip has a WIDER and THINNER flange).
2. Clamp.

Especially Swedish in Saugerties gets a good rep from my Physics Friend in Kingston, in case you get jammed. She runs a 1991 VW Transporter and is totally awesome

Thank you, both, cn90 and abscate! I'm only just seeing these messages now (just , in nick of time before I head to Kingston for parts), as I didn't get notification about updates. (topic thread title change maybe?)
I'm also trying to find the diagram you had posted earlier, abscate (I think it was you), but can't easily access that thread anymore. Some glitch with my computer right now, making it difficult to poke around the site, and even type this message.
Sharing all this excellent info with my husband now. Looks like we're honing in on things! Thanks.

Spread the clip a bit.
Push the line back in.
Use a clamp and you are done.
I doubt if you need a new O-ring.
