I've been trying for months to get VIDA running but tripped over so many obstacles.

This morning I uninstalled VIDA on my laptop. This website gave me the instructions for cleaning it up:

I copied all the 2014D VIDA files on the CD that came with the Dice unit and pasted them on my laptop. Using WINZIP I extracted those files.

I then followed the steps on this website to install VIDA, JAVA, MS SQL files, and a patch:

After upgrading to the latest version of Windows 10 PRO ver 1809 I got this error while trying to open VIDA-All-In-One:

"inet_e_resource_not_found"

To solve that issue you just need to run the 2014D PATCH again.

Hi Rick.

The SW I downloaded from that website messed up the SQL server on my high end laptop. I had to reformat my business laptop.

I'm going to install your Repack on a refurbished laptop with WIN10 PRO I just got delivered today. After installing qBittorent I was able to download Repack.

I'll reply back when install is finished.

I downloaded the RePack and installed all 5 programs but cannot log into VIDA using DICE. I have WIN10 Pro with IE11. Do I need to create new folders and copy programs into C:\VIDA ?

The update from 2014A to 2014D is a Hit OR Miss.

I updated VIDA from 2014A to 2014D. VIDA 2014D runs fine standalone but doesn't communicate with DiCE. However, DiCE connects fine over USB using DiCE admin tool. I'm suspecting, the VIDA/DiCE conduit is lost during the update -- it will take debugging.

I'm having trouble with the process of downloading the Vida 2014d repack to use on Windows 10 home. The link associated with the download of the repack keeps sending me to google translate and then if I click on anything there, I am redirected to spam sites. I am a computer noob and I really need Vida to help me fix an AWD problem with my car. Help

I had the same issue until I installed this SW that Rick directed me to:

To download the Repack, you need to have a bittorrent client installed. Then click on the Magnetic link. For a bittorrent client, my recommendation is qBittorrent.

The link is still working. If you are looking at the page translated the line is:
Magnetic link: magnet:?xt=urn:btih:1b2995ac6b8926893e3dea41c01ce92208b19c8d
Untranslated : 磁力链接: magnet:?xt=urn:btih:1b2995ac6b8926893e3dea41c01ce92208b19c8d

Else manually add "magnet:?xt=urn:btih:1b2995ac6b8926893e3dea41c01ce92208b19c8d" to a bittorrent client as a link.

If by "all 5 programs" you mean the five scripts in the root directory, you don't run #5. 05_WIN7.cmd is for people that want to do a unmodified install.

Did you run the 2099 patch? The 2099 patch fixes the expired subscription that prevents one from logging in to VIDA.

You don't need to create any folders or copy anything to the hard drive. The patch does need to be directed to C:\ where VIDA is installed.

Rerun the DiCE install X:\3PP\Products\DiCE\
