Voltage for fuel injectors

Post by shegarty »

Hi all, I have managed to source a set of used fuel injectors for my 98 S70 (Bosch 0280155766). I want to do a full clean and backflush on the bench before attempting to install them as I have no idea what kind of condition they are in. Do these run at a full 12V in the vehicle or is it a stepped down voltage? The last thing I want to do is fry a solenoid

12v ,battery voltage...or 14.4v(while engine is running).
You can't run them constantly with power source of 12v...you will need the switch for opening and closing them...to imitate ecu controller(about 2 times/second).

Thanks for the info. I plan to just use an old battery on the bench and pulse it by hand, from what I have seen on the interwebs this should be fine for very short periods.

Just keep the battery and pulsing away from fuel and vapors...long wires would be a MUST...and well ventilated area.
