Misfire code on all five cylinders?
Misfire code on all five cylinders?
Hi guys, just picked up a super nice one owner 97 NA 5 speed. Had the timing belt and all components changed and then got a 6 misfire codes, a general misfire and then one for each cylinder. It seems to run fine although it feels a tad sluggish. I know they’re not necessarily quick cars. It’s guzzling gas too, but it runs super smoothly. Any thoughts? I’m going to start with a tune up kit and clean the MAF this weekend but what else should I look at? Thanks!

If misfire codes showed up AFTER timing belt replacement i would re-check timing...could be that it's 1 or 2 teeth off...3 is a game over.

Five speed,…nice.
I also have the same configuration in my 07 V70.
When I got it,…it had the misfire on all cylinders, random random.
After replacing all the coil packs,…still issues.
Replaced the MAF and it cleared everything up to perfect.
It’s pretty zippy once you get it sorted out, and you should get around 30 mpg on the highway.
Keep us posted when you get it worked out. I like to see the results of when people finally find the problem.
Too many just disappear and we never know what fixed it.

I would check the vacuum connector at the end of the manifold, I had a issue with individual and multiple on my 98 shortly after purchasing it, changed the plugs, cap, rotor and wires, still had the same issues, check the forum and then the elbow at the manifold. It was cracked, once replaced it cleared up my misfire.
