Hey all.
I've got an 850 wired up for front fog lights. The thing is that the previous owner basically converted it to a v70 - new hood, lights, fenders, bumper etc etc. So it requires v70 fog lights. But they use a different connection than the 850s. Does anyone have any experience with this? My guess is this is why the previous owner never installed fog lights.

v70 fog lights on an 850.

It seems like it could be as simple as splicing the connectors for the V70 lights into the 850 wiring. I think they both take H3 bulbs. You might want to check the pin out if it is available just in case the wiring is different, but I doubt it is. The wires themselves should be color coded as well.
You could do this with some simple crimp connectors, but the better and more permanent solution would be soldering and heat shrinking (obviously after you test to see if it works).
I've never owned an 850, but have had a couple V70s now and an S70 and a quick search shows H3 fog lights for all of them.

And 850 fogs = H3.
H1 and H3 are identical bulbs, different bases. So just make the wiring connections work, as per nickelghandi's post.

To clarify, the V70 fogs will only work with H1’s.erikv11 wrote: 04 Jan 2019, 13:20 And 850 fogs = H3.
