Has to be down on the snorkel near the turbo?

Now I wait for my wife's W-2 so I can file our taxes. State returns will be paying for this. Got my parts list figured out at FCP. Of course I have lots of time to look around more.
Part#: kit-504286 $208.60 Volvo PCV breather kit
part#: 30731007 $42.10 Volvo PCV nipple
part#: 31293698 $109.69 Thermostat
part#: kit-515989 $149.63 Timing belt kit w/water pump
part#: 18671 $1.13 x 2 crush washer
part#: 31325709 $14.62 banjo bolt or part#8653884 $7.82
I'll find out tomorrow the difference between banjo bolts other than price. lol Seems 2006 was a split year for some parts too.

Let us know which banjo bolt you go with. Different versions and different designs. One could fall apart while in use and allow it's metal internals into the intake and kill a valve. I'm not sure which one is which, but I want to say you want the $7 version.jimpierce7 wrote: ↑10 Jan 2019, 20:52 Now I wait for my wife's W-2 so I can file our taxes. As said above, you might be able to wait on the water pump. I replaced hers at 180k because I was in there for the oil seals anyways.. It still had plenty of life left, but YMMV of course. If money is tight, you could probably hold off on the thermostat too.
I would look into getting a new crankcase breather pipe/ candied line. The one for the 2002 in my signature is p/n 30650578. (You would need 4 crush washers then too.) Things are brittle and could break. I would also consider OE timing belt components (mainly the idler and tensioner), but many seem to have had good luck with Contitech belts. Aisin makes the Volvo pump and is a tad cheaper too. The one I bought had the word Volvo chiseled away. Volvo coolant is about $20 a gallon for full strength.
I'll probably think of more as the day goes on. Lol.

I skipped that kit. The Rein water pump has plastic blades and I've read bad reviews with it.jimpierce7 wrote: ↑10 Jan 2019, 20:52 Now I wait for my wife's W-2 so I can file our taxes. I got the Contitech 30731727 kit, Aisin Water Pump KIT-524581, Contitech Serpentine Belt 30731808, and Volvo Coolant 31439821. Waiting to fix a DTC before I install them.
For the PCV I only needed to get Banjo Bolt 31325709 and Volvo TB gasket 31430474. Previous owner already had the PCV cleaned with a new trapper and hoses. I already had the Banjo bolt crush washers and PO gave me a Volvo intake manifold gasket.

Turns out the difference between the two banjo bolts is a pin in the one. What would be the purpose of the pin?

The nipple at snorkel may have buildup, clean so passage is clear.
Bonjos can be cleaned and reused with new seals. Ours are aluminum looking with no cross bar - $7 ea.
