2007 volvo s40 wheel speed sensor

Post by Bph721 »

I am trying to verify that my wheel speed sensors are operating. Most of the videos that i have seen suggest checking with a multimeter. I am checking directly on the sensor and they are all reading open. The meter and leads are good and i have the leads oriented correctly. Are these sensors supposed to read resistance across the two contacts? Any help is appreciated!!

I tried both while spinning the wheel and while stationary. Most videos and forums say that these type of sensors should have a resistance value of abetween 8000 and 1500 Ohms. All I ever see is infinite resistance.
