Low Beam Headlight bulb access?

Post by Mr. Detail »

Darn it, I just went out in the driveway to replace both low beam H7 bulbs and I thought it would be easy. Instead I found a bunch of unknown wire harnesses tie-wrapped together right in front of my circular access door. Can away those tie-wraps so I can get some extra slack to even see the plug for replacement?

Is a "P2" the same thing as a "V70"? I have a '02 Base V70 wagon.

Then yes it's a P2. It's the platform name.

They're a pain to get to. Some people take the air filter housing and stuff out.. it's doable with everything in place but not easy.

I'm sure any cables that are fastened in the area used to be secured by clips that have broken and been replaced with zip ties. Just zip then back when you're done and you should be able to move them carefully.

I ask because this is the P80 area of MVS, only up to MY 2000.
The -‘01 and newer years are very different cars.

If I knew squat about the newer cars, I’d be happy to throw in, but alas...
I’m trapped in 1998! And these heated seats are soooo comfortable. :)

The newer heated seats go up the back as well, I don't remember my P80s having heated seatbacks. :-)
