2003 c70 ignition lock will not turn

have had problem several times when the key is inserted and the key will not turn, have had to reinsert the key several times before it would allow to turn and start the car.

This is well documented on this forum, it is the ignition cylinder.
a) If it will turn fine between key positions 0 and 1, then there is a good workaround fix (1 hour labor, no parts)
b) If it won't turn past position 0, you are better off replacing cylinder (part cost $200, 4+ hours labor depending on your luck with security bolts) unless you are willing to go through complete dissassembly and tumbler fix after removing it.

You want to take care of this before it gets worse! I broke down 500 miles away from home. Wife wouldn't drive car after that, had to buy new car and sell that one!!!
