Don't get too excited if you don't see an immediate improvement in fluid color after 1 drain/fill cycle. If my experience is any indicator, it will take about 4 fluid changes for you to see improvement.

Try to be clearer. 1161540 is a Volvo number and the Volvo fluid is conventional. Did a Valvoline product have "1161540" printed on it? Their MaxLife Dex/Merc LV is suited to the 5 speed transmission and is synthetic.
P0700 is a TCM related code. If it doesn't return you can assume the transmission was adjusting to the new fluid.
As suggested above, get the fluid cleaner with several drain & fills.
Many will suggest a pump-out through a cooling line is more efficient. This is correct but many will suggest skipping the step where the cooling line is forced off the 17 year old radiator's fitting is smart.
You sound new to this so simple, fast drain & fills will do you at the cost of additional fluid.
If you want to save money on fluid go to the amaliestore.com and order a case of their Super Universal Synthetic Transmission Fluid. I've used it a lot with success. Shipping is free over $39. When you order from them specify that you want the box plastic wrapped. It is perforated for store display and the box can rip in transit. It's a great place to get oil too.

Well, I had the jerking when i was at stop light and tried to accelerate and when it started to accelerate it was moving very slow like it was in limpmode .... and then i got the text message on the display window on my dashboard saying to check my transmission basically and then i got the cel code PO700
So i drove 10miles to make it home did the drain and fill method and cleared the code and its been driving fine since...... plus code hasnt came back on.....
Im just wondering if my transmission is ok now or if there damage to it that i cant see...
Also im told that my TURBO may have some oil leak and or blow by.
Pk, this may sound silly but .... Is there a step by step tourial that explains in detail for WOMEN to understand ... like me!??!

I did some searching and haven’t found a good thread with pictures, bolt sizes , list of tools needed etc,
Give the Fora a couple of days to sort through. I might get to my P80 drain and fill this weekend.
I’m not sure if your car requires the belly pan ( plastic tray underneath ) to be removed to access the ATF oil drain bolt
Warm the car up with a short drive,
Basically you need to get the car lifted a bit ( most ladies can roll underneath, fat beached whales like me have to lift car) and open a hex bolt ( picture needed, tool neeeded) m catch the ATF oil in a bucket or flat pan.
Replace the bolt with a new washer
You pour that into a container into either a marked container and replace that the same amount that came out.
You need to follow the directions to reset the ATF level, not too little nor too much. It isn’t critical, but too much either way will cause problems
Materials list
Nitrile gloves protect your hands from nasty oil and also hot oil.
Ramps or curb to get under car, if needed
Wrench to remove replace plug...size?
New washer for ATF bolt
Flat pan to catch oil
Container
New ATF
Skinny funnel to add ATF back into engine
Paper towels
Beer and pizza

Update.....
Car was slipping and acting sluggish and i went to shop and they drained 4qts and it still kinda slipping and sluggish like i have to baby it when i accelerate ....
I was told my TURBO IS LEAKING
MY DIFF IS LEAKING
And i need 2 upper struts
Ect..
Plus transmission seems sluggish but havent gotten any CEL CODES like i did last week...
Ugh grrrrrrrr Arghhhhhh!!

P0700 (ECM-530D ) Means there are error codes stored in the automatic Transmission Control Module (TCM). You need a scanner that can read the codes from the TCM.

I cleared the code 2days ago and it hasnt came back on
But.......
Its sluggish and im wondering if it will get better.

The shop also said my differential bad/leaking and so is my turbo and trans housing is leaking
I have never seen any oil drips but there lot of oil under car ......
