The performance advantage of copper plugs is that when you replace them in 30k miles, they will come out the head, while the 7 year fancy metal ones will create a bad weekend of bad words.

Great photos! Did you order a starter and mashed potatoes, or a flywheel pizza??? All the old diners down here disappeared 20 years ago :( ... yesterday I took my S80 out on the interstate North to the Georgia border and went antiquing on Amelia island. She breezed along the interstate effortlessly between 90 and 100. I thought she could use a little exercise after spending two weeks in the Volvo hospital :P. I'm glad you're trip has been safe! Your T5 is waiting back at the airport! June

Once I remembered I was in P4 instead of Garage C, I found her.

I need to make some friends in NJ. $40 a day to park..

The only issue I've had with gravity is my furniture...my chest fell into my drawers...

If I keep Elizabeth at a GPS 60 mph on 93 octane, she flirts with 30 mpg

Yeah, I really like these wheels! I found them on a C70 at the junkyard with a good set of matching tires, so it worked out since I needed tires anyway!
If I lowered this car they would look even better. When I have a heavy load in the back the rear wheels fit so much better against the wheel wells.

I lowered my 850 by 35mm and it does make a big difference as you say. On the plus side, and if you get good springs that are matched, I've also found that the ability to carry heavy loads is not diminished and actually that the ride when fully loaded is improved over stock - probably due to slightly more progressive damping rates.
Cookeh wrote: 09 Feb 2019, 02:49Great information, thanks for taking the time. I've now seen a mix of platinum-iridium and double platinum being cross-referenced with the OE Champion plug, does anyone know if there is a performance advantage to one or the other?
I've been doing a bit more research (got to entertain myself somehow as I get dragged around garden centres!) and it seems the platinum-iridium plugs are the best to get, due to the greater efficiencies and lifetime (approx 25% greater life) than the double-platinum plugs whilst retaining the same high temperatures that help to decrease fouling build up.

OUCH! that must have hurt!   I've had other issues with gravity :o  ! It's hard to drive "Baby" 60mph. She is much happier at 80 minimally. It must be the T6 in her! I'm so happy you are back safely! I'll fly in the air when Volvo makes airplanes . June

Volvo, the part that is still Swedish, makes jet engines. Or at least they used to. So it should be possible to fly partly Volvo.

I wonder which airplane manufacturer uses them? If Volvo made the whole Jet Plane it would undoubtedly be the safest, best built plane out there. Boeing used to have the best jet, the 707 and 747. Once the 707 disappeared from Delta Airlines, I have not flown since. June

Yeah, when I've got really heavy loads it gets REALLY low. That's what I like about my dad's E39 wagon, it has air self leveling suspension, so it never gets that low.
This was my V70 with around 600 pounds of scrap metal in the back... somehow it didn't rub! And I had two people with me!
