Saab makes jet fighters, radars and missiles. Among other things.

The car maker was, much like Volvo now, just using a name licence but weren't part of the Saab corporation.

Volvo Car Corporation, owned by Geely, licenses the brand from the Swedish Volvo Corporation. The latter makes marine engines, construction equipment and trucks mostly.

The car corporation is still in essence the same as was sold to Ford, factories and all, so it's still a car company of its own. It just doesn't own the brand.

Canistos really suit the V70, more so than the C70 in my opinion.

Definitely going to be the best option! You can find good deals online for genuine plugs.

I did a lot of reading on VS, and most of those guys recommend using FR7DC with 0.028" gap on all turbo models. I'm not sure why they say 0.030" in the manual, I haven't really looked into that.
The correct plugs for the NA are actually 2- or 3-prong plugs, and are not adjustable. My cousin put a set of those in his last NA S70 and it ran much better than the old plugs (they were old and worn out, so an improvement was inevitable!).
I also read that the platinum plugs work best in NAs if you aren't using the Volvo plugs.
Tried to do a little research. FCP lists "Volvo Spark Plug Set - 8692071" as the factory replacement for P80 turbos since 1994. After digging through the cross reference charts for those as well as Champion RC8PYP (appears NLA), I came up with DENSO PK20PR-P8, NGK PFR6B, and BOSCH FR7DPP+. After looking at Champions very nice parts finder tool, it would appear that RC8PYP has been superseded by RC9PYP.

As for who makes Volvo plugs, there seems to be some debate (probably Bosch). All these plugs are (double) Platinum, so I'm assuming Volvo's are platinum as well. Anyway, based on my research (unless all the literature is wrong), platinum plugs gapped to 0.030" are the correct plugs for turbo P80s. *Your mileage may vary.

Same part will likely be from Bosch. The three prong ones
Everything I have read says not to use three pronged plugs in turbo engines.
Great information, thanks for taking the time. I've now seen a mix of platinum-iridium and double platinum being cross-referenced with the OE Champion plug, does anyone know if there is a performance advantage to one or the other?
I don't know about improved performance, but iridium plugs are suppose to last much longer. Their ideal use is in engines where it is a royal PITA to change the plugs. I only bought Bosch Platinums because no local part stores had copper plugs in stock.

Haha, they're not making cars anymore, but they do still make planes!

It's unfortunate how GM slowly killed off Saab, I really loved my 9-5 Aero. That was an awesome car, tons of power and the most comfortable seat ever (which was crazy to realize, coming from Volvos!). But I don't know, the seats in my V70R are incredibly nice too.

Harvested the driver seat belt Lat pch off my parts 1999. Another $80 saved.

The old one was,t positively latching, and since Muffin will use this car I didn't trust it

Parts was from a lightly used passenger seat, so I felt good about its condition.

Started working towards my LSD install yesterday. I have the diff out, just need to pull the bearings and measure the diff to see if I need to shim the new bearings on the Quaife.

If you're an engineer, or work with mechanical stuff, or even just like machines, take apart a transmission. I'm blown away by how beautiful this machine is - all the pieces fit together just right, all the mechanisms click into place like a bolt action rifle. It's even visually dramatic, with the brass synchros, gold colored shift forks, and shiny shift collars contrasting against the dark steel gears and gray aluminum casing. Tearing this gearbox down has been like a pilgrimage to the temple of machinery.

Yeah, those are like giggly cool. I haven't been inside a transmissions since I did my 1954 crash box transmission. One problem is hyoid oil makes me nauseous so I have to be careful where I do this.

So today I did some groceries. While walking to the store I see a lady in a VW Golf IV park next to my car, which I thought to be weird since the whole parkinglot was mostly vacant (for real). Since I have some bad experiences with parkingdamages and people just driving away without a note et cetera, I waited for the entrance of the store to "evaluate" her parkingskills. And boy, was my gut feeling right about waiting. She slams her door into Freya (my S70) and just walks away. I walk towards her and as soon as she sees me, she knows that the blue Volvo is my car. She walks back and looks at my car and says: "Nothing to it, everything's fine." I look at my righthand door and see nothing wrong but I ask why would you slam your door so hard? She just walks away, cussing at me. Am I the crazy one here? Or what?

Edit: So what did i do to my Volvo today, I protected her
