which hid replacement bulbs

Post by jackteet »

Hi, I have a 1998 V70 to which I have fitted new headlights. In addition I purchased from ebay a H7R HID kit, 35w and 5000k. There is a cut off line for the beam but a fainter light extends beyond for about 100yds and 20 feet high. The kit specifically advertised anti glare and it comes with certification and canbus. I am looking for a good quality replacement pair of bulbs that will not dazzle on coming drivers. Can anyone please reco a particular make. thanks jack.

If you have fluted headlight lenses, your HIDs are going to dazzle no matter what they advertise. HIDs don't belong in halogen bulb reflectors, period. Do a projector retrofit if you want safe and highly effective light output.
