Do you especially notice this after coasting in gear?

Honestly it is more on start up or when it has been sitting for about 30 minutes. The other time it happens is when I boost. I did not know but my boss was following me and did that he thought it was a diesel.

I don’t have the original turbo anymore. I pulled the intake hose and have a small amount of oil in the intake flange going into the turbo and also in the intake tube at the ptv.

And to reply to Reys. I did not rebuild the turbo it was a eBay buy which I know is not the best but after 1k for the car, 1k for the shipping and 2k with parts and all the other stuff i need a little break on the bank. I will pull the exhaust side of the turbo apart tomorrow before work when I can get a bay and lift and let you all know what I see.

Look at the bright side, you are halfway home

:-)

eBay stuff is usually just unbolted from Junkers. The turbos on these cars as every bit as the acclaimed Japanese ones though, they rarely go bad

Oil in the induction hosing is normal

Are you sure you were burning oil when boosting and just not running rich? Oil would be blue/white, but black smoke is excess fuel. In my T5 under high boost, my ECU seems to be dumping as much fuel as possible into the engine, which can produce a little black smoke (not sure it's suppose to though).

So, you said the PCV system was done. Does it actually pass the "glove test"?

On a 300K motor, I would actually do the "high-mileage" mod on the PCV (Larger hoses from the trap and opening up the PTC port).

Also... and it’s a long shot ... are you sure you got the PCV hoses on the right way? There’s a schematic floating around somewhere where the hoses aren’t connected correctly. Been a while since I’ve seen someone have that issue, but still...
