Nivomat and the Stabilizer bar

Hello.

I'm adding nivomat shocks and nivomat springs to my car. I see that the stabilizer bar may need to be changed as well; I hope not, though. Stabilizer bar 9191461 is specific to nivomat according to Vida.

O.DIA 20.8 mm, NIVOMAT. MARKED P
For vehicles with lowered chassis.

How important is this? And would converting an existing nivomat car to regular shocks require a non-nivomat stabilizer bar?

I swapped my rear nivos for regular Koni Yellows without changing a thing. If your car actually has a sway bar back there, you might need to look into it, but the part is NLA, so you may need to work around it.
The issue is usually that the nivos are phat bois, and need different seats, for example.
Remember that you also need different springs.

Volvo made different chassis tunes and Nivomat was usually the soft ("comfort") tune with smaller diameter stabilizer bars. I don't recall any of the cars with sway bar to shock clearance that tight once shock is installed. I would think any note of sway bar was the diameter difference from the Nivo equipped models for the soft ride.

I'm going to assume that people have used nivomats (and even the standard non leveling shocks) with a range of different sized stabilizer bars, including none at all, which will be the case when I install them. It's a slow 10valve car anyway, but it's used for hauling lots of stuff and it'd be interesting to see if the nivomats help, even without the stabilizer.
