evap core removal instructions - 2004 XC90

Post by eapowers64 »

I have the dashboard out of the car and the Freon has been evacuated from the system. Does anyone have directions for removing the HVAC system inside the car from this point forwards so that I can replace the evap and heater cores? All the different bolts have me a bit confused.

If you have VIDA it will be in there. If not I can take a look, can you send me a part number for the evap core - will make finding it helpful.

Heater core is pretty easy, plenty of write ups and videos on it. You don't need to take out the dashboard - a wet/dry vac to the heater core before hand will lessen the mess otherwise plastic bags and towels as it will make a mess.
