Xc90 purchase question
I have been doing some reading and most of the xc90s are 6 cyl I came across a very clean nice 2003 xc90 with the 2.4 engine in it with around 60000 miles on it how many years did they make this model with this engine and is this something to stay away from ?

Would this be the 2.5T engine? May want to see if the transmission is shifting smoothly once warmed up. 60000 miles is low mileage and in theory it would be a good buy if it the title is clean. You will need to do the timing belt - only the belt because it has aged, in theory the belt is done along with the two pulleys but the pulleys may still be good because are less affected by time. We don't do the water pump at this point and recommend not letting some garage replace it with some cheap part.
Be aware that the AWD system was fragile on these years. The vehicle may not have an operational AWD system any longer, but it will still drive as a FWD car. You can try spinning the rear wheels on grass
The one to stay away is the 2003-2005 6 cyl biturbo T6 with the GM transmission
