They probably have the flat surfaces behind the boot, and you can grab them with a wrench. Every end link I have ever seen, has one or the other.

An impact wrench will usually get you around that too, FWIW.

I can't speak to the Mevotech's specifically, but they may have two flat sections right above the boot that you can use a special bicycle wrench on.
The special bicycle wrench is called a cone wrench. It's a very thin wrench.

You can see it looks like a regular wrench but super thin. They come in all sorts of sizes and any 1/2 way decent bike shop that sells tools will have them. Park is a common brand at bike shops.

Below is a picture (not a volvo) that gives you an idea of how it would work.
Green = sway bar
yellow = your cone wrench

Note: in the picture they are using a regular wrench. When I did my sway bars, I did not have enough room for a regular wrench. Only a cone wrench would work.

Here's a picture illustrating what we both mean. In this case it's more than just two flats.

Cone wrench would go where green arrow is pointing.
