Didn't smell like rotton eggs or gassy.. There is the chance that an injector plugged up. They did something that didn't last very long as you said it ran good for a short time and then began missing again. This might be in line with an attempt to clear a fouled injector that may simply need to be replaced rather than cleaned. If some grit got into it or the pintle is damaged they can stick open, closed or part way. This is of course something to consider *after* you've checked/verified that all the air hoses/intake is tight and sealed up.

I just ran a bottle of Cataclean with only 4 gallons in the tank and ran it hard on the interstate until empty. Monitored O2 sensors and cat afterwards. Sensors and cat temp are all within spec. Check engine light is off. Going to monitor for a week or two. Fingers crossed!
