Help identifying a part.

Post by brettbo »

Doing the PCV breather replacement on my 2006 S60R. I took the small hose off of the top of the intake and it broke so I was going to buy some tubing and replace the hose. There is a sensor that has another tube coming out of the other end. It looked in bad shape as well so I was going to replace that as well. In trying to remove the clamp from the hose the connector of the sensor broke inside of the hose. There is a part number but nothing comes up as it is hard to determine the first letter/number of the part. Here is a picture of the part and hoses in question. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

It's a check valve and no longer available new on P80s, I'll check 😀 For P2s.

Yu can use a generic one or get a junkyard part.

The arrow should point from the low pressure part to the vacuum source, that's important

Can I just use a 3/8" fuel hose for the line attaching to the intake? I picked up a few of those valves at the junkyard. Thank you.

Try to match the thickness of the wall to support vacuum , but fuel hose should be fine.

Thank you. Looks like the other hose from the vacuum to the valve will have to be reused even though not in the best shape (just some dry caking on the outside). I could not find a hose anywhere to match the diameter, I think it is 11 or 12 mm. 3/8 was too small and 1/2 was too big.

Use that 3/8 and just open it with a tapered hard anvil until it will slip over the check valve.

Old hose will give you problems later

Will it affect performance at all? I presume the original hoses are at the specific width and length because it was engined as such.

Length unimportant. Try to reproduce the length so you don't have excess hose lying around and chafing holes.

Width also unimportant as long as they don't collapse under vacuum and stop 'sucking'
