2001 V70XC - tie rod replacement Topic is solved

I did soaked them with a mix of ATF and Acetone for almost a week. The right one took force but was easy to break free, the left one was a real pain as someone already tried to undo the screw and round it up, it took me time but with a locking plier on the screw and another one on the tie rod i did break it. My car is a 2005 with Dstc i had to count carefully unscrewing the outer tie rods to not trigger the SAS Anti skid during the reassembly. Anyway after the alignment shop the Anti skid popped up, a simple reset (calibration) turning the steering wheel 2 & half right and left then full lock either way, the message cleared. All good seems then!

The passenger side inner took two days of soaking with PB blaster, and lots of tries before breaking loose from the steering shaft. Driver's side is stubborn, not cooperating, soaking with PB blaster. What is the mix ratio of ATF and Acetone?

Hope you'll break the Driver's side loose with a mix of 50/50 ATF and Acetone. Very neat the locking pliers to counter hold the rack!
edit: Don't know if that helped but i used a little propane torch to heat the 21mm bolt.

Well if it doesn't want at all, cut the bellow and then undo the inner tie rod. you could still work on the bench to remove the Outer and count the number of turns.

This bloody mary is relatively odorless -- happy garage. A goodbye to stinky stuff will lower the ventilation cost.

The 50/50 mixture is a better choice for less odor than pb blaster . The overnight ATF/Acetone treatment was a success. Now the end is within reach.

Good to hear the mixture helped, and soon back on the roads.

Now fully on the road after servicing crankcase, oil pan, radiator, passenger axle, mobil 3309 simple D&F, tie rod, sparks plugs, and intake ETM/AP.

Here is the alignment data... do I need to take it back for adjusting RIGHT REAR?
