So I added yet another Volvo to the fleet today. This one is a $100 1998 S90. It runs and drives!!! But the transmission is on its last leg. I got it towed home, little did I know I probably could have driven it. For $100 I didn’t even bother trying to drive it before buying.

Though it’s a bit rough on the outside, it’s CLEAN underneath. No rust to be found.

Bmdub for the $100 score!

Look , it’s already ahead of your R!

( that was a mean shot this early)

😀😀😀

..oh wait...that’s the XC, the R must be behind that...

Maybe can we can find you a transmission up here for that. S90 might be hard to find.

There are quite a few 960/S90s at the junkyard right now, and I may have a lead on a good one at a local full service junkyard. I'll let you know if I can't get one!

Haha, the R is in the garage to the right of that picture right now. I've got the GLT parked behind the XC90... that makes 4 Volvos on the driveway (and garage) now! I wish I had gotten a picture when my cousin had his S70 T5 here. My neighbors already know me as the "the guy with all the Volvos."
I need to drive the R up to my cousin's job later so he can mount and balance my tires on the Propus Cs and correct my alignment (although I did a hell of a job with the string and jack stand method! The steering wheel is almost dead straight.). Hopefully I'll be able to run the wires for the clutch switch (which I never installed, but Rob Hilton advised me that I need one) and get that all wrapped up so I can drive it there without issue... maybe it'll even make boost by then!

ECM terminals B4 and B 15 get bridged to enable cranking on the ME7 management, confirm that on your model of course.

I think clutch in resistance on that switch is 2000-2500 Ohms
I confirmed in an earlier thread that this is an analogue input and that the state of the switch is not logic latched in any way

Lets see now, some item in that order I'm a little more excited about than the other two. Should be an easy guess.

Dropped off my 850 turbo wagon at the dealership today for inspection of the gas tank. Hoping for recall replacement. A guy in an alfa romeo pulled into the service center behind me and stuck his head out the window and said, "is that a turbo wagon? Thats F'n awesome!"

Yes that's PS fluid. @ 125k miles it's overdue for a flush/new fluid. Flushed the brake fluid last year. The thing I'm sorta excited about, a little hint: It's a 2006.
