There is a secret code hidden in the 4C name, hold down the shift key on your keyboard while you type 4C ...

Anyone's car fit over the concrete stops in parking spaces (I don't mean XCs)? My S60 has the same issue as tex69's V70R and the bottom of the front bumper is quite scraped up. I stop back a little now.

Oragex,

S60? I'm confused. Also, what is/are PO? Please pardon my ignorance, I'm not particularly car savvy. At least not as much as all of you here.

Where would be a good place to find used coil springs? A pull your own parts place I assume? How will I know if they are any good still?

Thanks

MDK, I understand now. Duh. I'll post a photo tomorrow.

RichHaleParker, I don't know if they did. The specialists, I would assume, as they are usually very thorough. I explained it was a new (used) car, and I needed all safety and inspection issues resolved. But that doesn't mean they did, obviously. I'll have to call and ask.
The guys I use for the basic stuff must have, as I explained the issue I was having and said I had concerns the struts might need to be replaced. But they aren't fluent in Volvo. There are many things with Volvos that are outside their territory.

Note: Can't respond with quotes. When I try, I'm told it contains links to illegal or pirated software. (!!??)

To use quotes, click on the double quote icon and you will see

Square bracket, "quote", close square bracket, and then Square bracket, "/quote", close square bracket

Put what you want quoted in the middle between the first close square bracket, and and the second start square bracket.

Example with extra spaces inserted around word "quote":
[ quote ]this is quoted[ /quote ]
this is quoted

Right, that's what I had been doing. When going to use that function, I was getting that peculiar message. Seems to have stopped now.

MDK wrote: 10 Apr 2019, 09:15 Hey Tex 69...MDK here. If you could send us a photo of the wagon from the side.. that would help. Some one probably put lowering springs on it using the factory struts. I have an 04 R car and I just stripped out the 4 c suspension... good riddance. I utilized the factory struts and springs from a 07 S60 AWD... I have the code prompt on the dash... but I don't care. MDK

MDK, here is a photo of the front drivers side. I didn't mean to post three, and for the life of me can figure out how to remove the two extra images.

Anyway, let me know if you need more. I have some of both sides from various distances.
