2000 s70 trans...? Error codes!

Post by KMizu93 »

I recently brought a 00' s70 from a friend of mine. Got it for a steal $400us.. he said it has a bad trans but had already received a new motor(not sure if the trans was swapped at the same time) I trailered it home without even getting it started (thanks to a stolen battery) swapped a battery into her and proceeded to run the obd2 codes to avoid damaging the trans any farther since i have no idea how bad it is. So Error codes
P0722 output speed circ (no signal)
P0717 input/turbine speed A (no signal)
P0732/33/34 gears 2/3/4 (incorrect ratio)
P0740 torque conv/clutch circ (open)
P0715 input/turbine speed sensor A circ
P0785 shift/timing solenoid

Seems like alot but my other ride is a 93 honda accord so its just nice to run obd2 for a change. Not sure which order the codes were actually thrown but it seems like the solenoid failed along with the vss A and from there she went crazy trying to read in the dark. My question(s)
1 should i fuel up and road test this car?
2 whats the CHEAPEST (not easiest) way to fix this?
3 if all else fails LKQ offered $415us. Anyone else want her before she meets the vultures?
Thanks so much in advance this forum is sooooo much more civilized and informative than the typical honda forum. Dont tell em i said that

1. Disconnect the wire harnesses on the transmission
2. Clean the connectors with MAF cleaner or Electrical Contact Cleaner.
3. Inspect for damage.
4. Reconnect harnesses.
5. Clear codes.
6. Drive it around the neighborhood.
7. Scan again see what codes come back.
8. List come back codes here.

Make sure you get the transmission speed sensor also. In other words clean all the harnesses on the transmission.
