Though personally I actually prefer cloth to leather* as a surface to sit on and the velvet used on the half leather interior was really nice on these. I think the new premium wool interior looks brilliant for the same reason.
*At least leather without ventilation built in.
The 2019 XC90 comes standard in pleather! Yes that's cheap pleather!!!
Except for the Inscription model which comes standard with Napa Leather and optional with perforated Napa Leather. For example. No cloth or suede. Same with my S80 in 2004, either leather seating area for the standard interior or 100% leather for the option. It does seem Europe gets different options and on these old models smaller engines or diesel. I might have seen the last diesel Volvo in the mid 1980's and it was a 240. I guess it's what selling in the region offered? June
