Chick-Fil-A Appreciaiton Day!

Post by KlubMarcus »

Did any of you participate in the Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day? We did, and we had to go to another because the one closest to the house was too busy! The second one was busy too. They had so many customers that they ran out of brownies, whipped cream, cherries, and ice cream.

I'm moving this to Non-Automobile Talk forum because it's off topic, and it's a politically tinged subject. Marcus, I added you to the Non-Automobile Talk forum group so you can see your topic, because that forum is hidden.

The local Chick-Fil-A is still riding high. I can tell because the drive-through lines are longer nowadays. The gay protests just fizzled away and customers keep coming in.

I still go there. It's delicious food. The owner should be able to say what he wants without everyone getting their panties in a wad about it and boycotting the restaurant and trying to rally others to do so. I'm not going to bring my political beliefs into this...that's entirely another discussion I don't even want to have.

People these days will really find any cause they can to fight or support.

Some of those Occupy people showed up just to jump on the bandwagon. I saw pictures of protestors in NY drinking Starbucks or taking out money from Wells Fargo ATMs.

Well if a mod is going to mention politics...

The church I volunteered at last weekend went out of their way (literally, across town) to support Chickfilla and closely align with their politics. I always passed it by because it was fast food, which I avoid. Eating the delicious chicken breast sandwich was an epiphany. The pickles were great. Very salty though, I had to drink a lot of water the rest of the day.

We still protest in a way by simply not going there.
Beyond that, nothing ruins a decent chicken sandwich more than feeling like every bite of it is drowning in discriminatory 'politics/policies' directed at you, your friends, or your neighbors personally. I'll pass thank you very much.
