I'm familiar with that noise, but I don't think that's what it is. It's similar, but the noise goes up and down, unlike the ETM noise. I can still hear the ETM though, so I'm pretty sure it's not the same noise.

It sounds like bearing clatter to me. I hear metal rubbing. It sounds very similar to the noises my belt tensioners made before my timing belt water pump debacle. But this is all speculation from your video! I'd pull the t/belt cover and see if it gets louder.

No, its a high pitched, like 1kHz buzz.

Yeah, it's definitely not mechanical like a bearing.
I listened to it this morning, thinking it may be the ETM as I listened in that area, but I definitely hear it most around the alternator area. Maybe it's the alternator, who knows. I'll take a closer listen this afternoon. I wouldn't be surprised if it was coming from the A/C compressor either, there's a wire nut on one of those wires from a previous owner. No idea why it's like that.
I won't 100% rule out the CVVT hub either, that makes a grinding noise on startup sometimes. However the buzz seems to be ahead of that area.

That’s interesting. I actually ended up rebuilding my original ETM with the Sacer contactless TPS, but the noise is still there. I don’t think it’s the ETM.

Have you checked for any vacuum leaks back there? Sometimes that can cause a whistling noise.
