1999 S70 swapping inline 5 cylinder engines from a 1995?

Yes, my car is a 99 S70 2.3L DOHC AWD Turbo and it had the original T5 engine in it which had been overheated numerous times and I got a great deal from a friend for a complete engine if I helped remove it. He had recently wrecked his wagon and it was totaled by insurance, so I said you betcha I want it. His car was a 95 wagon FWD only So, the original engine I removed and after reading you all's posts I decided to remove the cylinder head and see if I could, with a new head gasket, restore the 99 motor. That's when I found the cracked block. Now, my first question is, those metal or hardened sleeves that your pistons and connecting rods fly up and down in, can they be replaced and if so at what cost? Well now that we've thrown that option aside, I've pulled everything off the 99 T5 and resealed and torque spect everything. I will repost later w/ picts. thanks folks, jjss70.

Resleeving isn’t an economical option here in the North America , where a good used engine costs about $500 from a recycler. A large number of these cars get scrapped for body damage as they are on the road for such a long time, with lots of good running components available via recyclers

You can't...a 99 is a different engine and transmission...98 is the last year for spark plug wires... Maybe find a wagon or even a n xc 70 1998 or down. car-part.com MDK

Its not really clear where OP is with this project.

Im reading s/he had a cracked block on the 95 motor so rebuilt the 99 motor.

It might help if the OP where to read the engine family IDs off the blocks and post them here.
That way we would know exactly what is being swapped in lean of what.
