volvo s40 R reg unbelieveable electrical fault

When you put the new antenna in, my guess is that you did something to short the electricals....retrace your steps there...pull out the new one if nothing else. Seeing your child and getting her off to where she is to go is priority....the Volvo can wait. Even rent a car if you have to and forget about this car until more important things are taken care of.

There is no other fuse box, however, fuse 5 in the engine bay box covers all the things that are not working.

Why the clock resets is a mystery but it also works off fuse 5.

Can you start the engine as the immobiliser is also on that fuse?

My R reg S40 have just developed the same problem and im still investigating the problem. it would appear the most likely cuase is with the central control module inside the car and these seem very expenice to replace.
