2000 s70 2.4l non turbo fwd. hey guys, I was wondering my steering rack is leaking a small stain on my driveway and im gonna replace it but not till the fall. but my outter tyrods need replacement. can i replace the tyrod ends now and the rack in the fall or should i do the tyrod ends when i do the rack?

wait. also you might be doing the rack sooner than planned

The Volvo is a second car so I'm not in a great rush to get it done so thank you I will wait I got plenty of other things I can be doing through the car like motor mounts and shocks and struts Etc thank you very much guys problem resolved

what's your planned source for a rack? I guess for low budget its best to get a dry junk yard one if you have the time. I put a rock auto rebuilt one in but am waiting for it to fail. would like to try to rebuild one but its hard to get a kit that fits or is any good or inspires confidence. Usually its just the seal on the ends but suspect loose tolerances compromise the seal. Its one of those jobs that show you how many tools you dont have that you need. not a good job to try and finish over the weekend so you can get to work on Monday.
